Moving Forward

Regret is the thing we should fear most. Failure is an answer. Rejection is an answer. Regret is an eternal question you will never have the answer to. -- Trevor Noah

Missed yesterday, fuck it.

We move past it, I’m realizing that one of the biggest crutches is feeling like I need to “catch up” or “redeem myself” when I miss a day. Why? It’s because to me, I feel breaking my streak messes me up so much to a point where I’ll try to do DOUBLE that following day. Once is already a lot so to do double puts me in an overwhelmed state. Not healthy, especially if that mindset is doing more harm than good. Maybe cope, maybe I’m just being lazy or settling but let’s see. I’m going to try shrugging it off and just moving forward because worrying about all that sets me back so much more than it does push me forward attempting to make up for it.

So far, it’s proving to be good. I’m actually a lot more productive not stressing out about it. Yes, good, I’m learning and understanding more about how I operate most efficiently. We will continue to pivot if it makes sense to. What about you? Do you get all fucked up when you miss a day like I do? Do you get to a point where it messes you up completely that it stops you in your tracks? Just like how it did for me when I had got stopped out completely after 100+ days of posting consistently?! Well, if you’re like me - pivot and move forward. We will continue to chase after it, no matter what. One day off isn’t stop us, we won’t let it, because our ultimate goal is so much more bigger than that.

Not sure what your dailies are? Breakdown your largest goal into everyday tasks. These dailies should be bite sized pieces that you can handle without stressing yourself out too much (there will always be some level of stress though because this type of lifestyle we’re chasing ain’t easy, we will be stepping out of our comfort zones but we are growing, incase you didn’t know, you’ve got this). Start small as you gradually add more tasks to the list of dailies.

Currently, I’m working on laying the foundation for all this content. I’ve got close to 200+ one liners that I could use, all gathered from notes I’ve taken in the past. It’s a lot of work organizing right now, I spent most of the day yesterday digitizing/editing all the spelling errors and putting it all in one master spreadsheet. It’s gonna be awesome to batch create content after though, we work hard now so we can have it easier later, or at least in this case, allow more time to focus on other shit too. My goal right now is to wrap this up as soon as possible, then start scheduling these on a social media planner, I’ll be using Later (https://later.com) for this. LFG, this is the power of automation, this means I’ll be able to to spend less time worrying about posting everyday on each platform and can focus more on other tasks.
